# Overview

StationOne empowers firefighters by providing them with a digital platform that enhances their efficiency, safety, organisation, and access to information.

StationOne offers a range of features and tools to assist firefighters and emergency services organisations in both daily operations and while managing large-scale complex incidents.

It is not uncommon for large organisations to inadvertently create "data silos". Independent systems, each with their own rich data relevant to their intended purpose.

Data silos make it difficult to see a complete operating picture and they hinder organisations ability to make time critical, empowered decisions.

Data silos can often lead organisations to 'out of band' solutions such as complex spreadsheets to store and track key information or data combining via visualisation tools such as PowerBI.

These data silos often form 3 distinct categories:

StationOne is designed to seamlessly integrate into existing systems to break down data silos, creating a "single pane of glass".

StationOne does not aim to replicate this data, rather, working to enrich existing data.

This data can then be used for a multitude of operational applications, StationOne can fill in the gaps where the data does not exist within existing systems and negate the requirement for out of band data stores, such as spreadsheets.

StationOne uses this data to enable features such as our Crew Builder, allowing fire services to build and deploy crews to large scale incidents effortlessly.

We also offer a range of features to enhance brigade level operations, by centralising functions that are often performed within third party tools such as hose testing, breathing apparatus management, inspections/checklists, hydrant planning, static water management and many more.
